Why do you need a building survey?
A building survey is useful anytime a person buys a property, or enters into a lease. It's purpose is to help you decide whether or not it's wise to proceed with the purchase, or sign the lease.
A building survey is especially useful when it comes to negotiating price, because it can provide useful information with respect to lowering the asking price in advance of anticipated future repairs.
